Lina and Terence’s wedding is the very first Malay wedding I have photographed, so this is quite a milestone in my wedding photography career. The celebrations spanned across two days, starting with the Akad Nikah event: And the Bersanding event the next day:

Guhan and Katherine returned from the United States for their traditional Indian wedding ceremony at the Kalamandapam temple here in Brickfields.

Colin & Yee Xing’s wedding celebrations at the classy Capella Hotel in Singapore. Filled with laughs during the ‘pick-up-the-bride’ event and charged with emotion at the dinner reception. View the slideshow for more photos!

Oliver & Geradline’s beautiful and touching wedding at Holy Rosary Church in Brickfields, followed by a classy and casual reception at Tamarind Springs.

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the HGH Convention Centre in Sentul. Dr Vijendran and Dr Gaayathri’s traditional Malayalee Indian wedding on 14 December 2011. The wedding mandapam (pavilion) was one of the more beautifully decorated ones I’ve seen.

Ravi and Veena’s traditional Indian wedding at Bangunan Peladang on 10th December 2011.

Dr Lingesh and Dr Amirtha, both doctors working in New York, flew home to Malaysia for their Ceylonese Indian wedding on 4th December 2011 at the Sri Sakthi Easwari temple.

Sean and Grace (who hails from Hong Kong) began their journey as husband and wife on a very popular date 12.11.11 (a good alternative to 11.11.11 which was a Friday).

Daniel & Melissa’s wedding spanned across 2 days, starting with a church wedding at the Sacred Heart Church in Jalan Peel, followed by a Chinese wedding and tea ceremony, and finally the dinner reception at The Club at Bukit Utama. A Chinese wedding would not be complete without the customary obstacle course games that all [...]

Raymond and Christina were married at Zion Lutheran Church, one of my favourite churches to photograph at, simply because it feels so cosy. Their reception venue was also a great choice. Villa Danieli at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur has a warm intimate feel to it.

Being a photographer, I am rarely in front of the lens, so naturally I have very few images of myself. Only after starting my own family have I begun to appreciate the value of good family portraits. Here’s a portrait of my daughter and myself at Kings Park, taken by my wife during our holiday [...]

Kaylee’s portrait session for her 2nd birthday was used to create a 2012 desktop calendar, which I also designed. This calendar was so well-received that all 500 copies were snapped up quickly.

To kickstart 2012, I have 2 awesome offers that will surely put a smile on your face. Here’s the first great deal! For every portrait session (pre-wedding or post-wedding) booked with me from today until 31st March 2012, I am offering FREE rental of 1 bridal gown (up to RM600 in value) from one of [...]

A pre-wedding portrait session with Sean and Grace at a remote little village somewhere near Rawang

Here’s Randy and Julyn’s relaxing post-wedding portrait session in Cameron Highlands

Jet and Chien’s portrait session started on a beautiful sunny morning. The weather forecast predicted continuous rain for the rest of the day, but God smiled upon us and granted us a rain-free day. If only the sky was clear enough for a sunset… but who’s complaining?

A recent portrait job required resourcefulness in using existing surroundings to my advantage. This series of portraits were taken for a company’s annual report. Without using any backdrop, I utilized the wallpaper in the boardroom and arranged my lighting setup within this very small patch of wallpaper background, and using the very limited space in [...]

A post-wedding portrait shoot for Shannon and Premela. Post-wedding or pre-wedding shoots are very much more relaxed than squeezing in a portrait shoot during the wedding day, and makes it possible to make a trip to somewhere off the beaten track.

Casey & Gloria’s pre-wedding portraits were decidedly unusual, as you can see from the first photo. Casey is a big Star Wars fan, so “the Force” was with us that day, as we managed to get some pretty decent shots even though it rained almost the whole day! We also put their ballroom dancing moves [...]

Here’s a photography project done for AmLion Toothpaste Manufacturing, covering their facilities and staff at work. I also developed their corporate website which uses my content management system (CMS), allowing them to update their content as often as required.

This set is from a recent shoot for BNP Paribas Singapore for their corporate recruitment brochure. The shoot adhered strictly to the design identity set by City & Law, a UK based marketing agency. No backdrop was used (try flying to Singapore alone with camera and lighting gear and you’d know why I chose to [...]

A tastefully furnished bungalow in Valencia, an exclusive gated community by Gamuda Land.

My recent commercial assignment was at The Nomad Sucasa Serviced Residence in Kuala Lumpur. Some of their suites have a great view of the KLCC Twin Towers.

Fresh from the camera, a recent shoot for Rohde & Schwarz Malaysia‘s corporate profile.

My wife and I were supposed to be in Europe 2 weeks ago. But thank God our flight was canceled due to the volcanic ash all over Europe, otherwise we probably would have been stranded there. We were desperate for a getaway, so a quick look at the world map brought us to Taiwan. We [...]

Ever needed to hire a photographer for your child’s birthday party? You may be a photographer yourself, but as most fathers with digital SLRs know, getting yourself in the picture is always a challenge! Perhaps your company dinner is just round the corner, and you’d like to have photographs of the event, but don’t want [...]

Just got back from our 9-day trip to Victoria, Australia. My apologies to those who emailed or called me, I’ll reply your emails as soon as I [...]

If you’ve been emailing me without getting a reply for the past 1 week, I promise you that I’ll reply within the next few days (there’s a huge backlog of emails!). My wife Junnie and I were holidaying in Sabah, a much needed vacation We spent 3 days at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, woke [...]

I had the opportunity to photograph Josiah Ng, Malaysia’s top national track cyclist, fresh from his gold medal win in the Korat SEA Games, during FedEx’s opening of a new World Service Centre at The Weld, Kuala Lumpur.

This identity design project was a re-branding exercise for Memento Images, a wedding photography studio in Melbourne. The logo I created is a heart-shaped adaptation of the ‘M’ initial in Memento, framed within the viewfinder of a camera.

You've got a great website, now what? Who do you go to when you cannot remember a website address, or simply have no clue? Chances are, you'd go to one of these: Google, Yahoo or MSN, the only search engines that matter. Search engine optimization is important because a great website will remain obscure if the target audience cannot find it! SEO does not stop with submitting the website to search engines. That is only the tip of the iceberg. It is not limited to meta tags and keywords only, as many people think. Sitepoint's SEO and online marketing methodology is one that has been fine-tuned and perfected over the years. SEO is an ongoing effort, and will more than pay for itself over time.
My blog is a collection of my wedding photography and portrait photography work, web design and graphic design work, and articles on photography that I've written.
My Latest Blog Posts:
A photo essay I made on climbing the 13,450 ft Mount Kinabalu, a virtual climb through 4 distinct zones of flora and climate.
My gallery of underwater photography, a photo diary of trips to beautiful islands of crystal clear water and magnificent marine life.
My brief overview of the basics of photography. Used initially for staff training, it has become quite searched-for on Google. I'm glad it has helped many people start off on photography.
