Shiho
Nage or 'four corner throw' is a basic
technique derived from the swordsmanship practices of
Japan's legendary past.
When uke attacks, nage grasps one of
uke's wrists and extends outwards with both hands.

Pivoting on
his hips, nage reverses uke's force and brings his
twisted wrist circling back to his (uke's) shoulder.
Unbalanced, uke will tilt to his
rear. With both hands, nage brings him down to the mat.
