Tenchi
Nage or 'Heaven and Earth throw' as
literally translated, derived its name from nage's hand
which moves upwards (heaven) and cuts uke down while his
other hand simultaneously cuts uke down towards his
diagonal rear (earth). This throw is particularly
adaptable
|
 |
to almost
any frontal attack, as nage captures uke's extension and
leads his force of attack out and downwards with one
hand, extending him out in unbalance. At the same time,
he steps into uke's side and moves diagonally to uke's
rear, throwing him to the mat.
