Wedding Day Photography

Lina and Terence’s wedding is the very first Malay wedding I have photographed, so this is quite a milestone in my wedding photography career. The celebrations spanned across two days, starting with the Akad Nikah event: And the Bersanding event the next day:

Guhan and Katherine returned from the United States for their traditional Indian wedding ceremony at the Kalamandapam temple here in Brickfields.

Colin & Yee Xing’s wedding celebrations at the classy Capella Hotel in Singapore. Filled with laughs during the ‘pick-up-the-bride’ event and charged with emotion at the dinner reception. View the slideshow for more photos!

Oliver & Geradline’s beautiful and touching wedding at Holy Rosary Church in Brickfields, followed by a classy and casual reception at Tamarind Springs.

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the HGH Convention Centre in Sentul. Dr Vijendran and Dr Gaayathri’s traditional Malayalee Indian wedding on 14 December 2011. The wedding mandapam (pavilion) was one of the more beautifully decorated ones I’ve seen.

Ravi and Veena’s traditional Indian wedding at Bangunan Peladang on 10th December 2011.

Dr Lingesh and Dr Amirtha, both doctors working in New York, flew home to Malaysia for their Ceylonese Indian wedding on 4th December 2011 at the Sri Sakthi Easwari temple.

Sean and Grace (who hails from Hong Kong) began their journey as husband and wife on a very popular date 12.11.11 (a good alternative to 11.11.11 which was a Friday).

Daniel & Melissa’s wedding spanned across 2 days, starting with a church wedding at the Sacred Heart Church in Jalan Peel, followed by a Chinese wedding and tea ceremony, and finally the dinner reception at The Club at Bukit Utama. Raymond and Christina were married at Zion Lutheran Church, one of my favourite churches to photograph at, simply because it feels so cosy. Their reception venue was also a great choice. Villa Danieli at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur has a warm intimate feel to it.

Vignesh and Durga, who live in Sydney, Australia, were joined in marriage at a traditional Indian wedding ceremony at the Sathya Sai Baba Centre in Seremban 2.

Geophin & Rose’s beautiful wedding at Jesus Caritas Church in Kepong. Their unique jungle theme came complete with parrots and green accents in the bridemaids dresses and groomsmen ties. Norman & Reen’s traditional Chinese wedding came with hilarious entertainment provided by the groom and his groomsmen. Not to mention the cute little dance number that the couple did during their grand entrance at the dinner reception.

Thomas & Cath’s wedding in Assumption Church, Petaling Jaya, followed by a dinner reception at the Golden Phoenix Restaurant in Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur.

Trevor and Judith’s wedding at the newly built St Thomas Moore Church in USJ. I’ll be photographing another wedding here again in January next year. We then headed to a secret location for some portraits before I headed home to prepare the slideshow for their reception at the Eastin Hotel in Petaling Jaya.

After an Australian wedding earlier in the year, Devan & Ahrathy celebrated their Malaysian traditional Indian wedding on 12 Dec 2010 at Bangunan Mariamman.

Jack and Jordan’s wedding on 18 Dec 2010 had the largest group of heng tais (groomsmen) I have ever seen! The famous Stephen Foong was the coordinator of the day, so it was nothing short of colourful The couple also had violinist Dennis Lau grace their reception with an opening performance.

Stanley & Cheryl celebrated their wedding day on 4 December 2010 at FGA Church, and a dinner reception at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.
