1200km in 6 days

Just got back from our 9-day trip to Victoria, Australia.  The main purpose was to photograph a wedding in Melbourne (view the photos here), but my wife and I took the opportunity to enjoy the countryside as well. My apologies to those who emailed or called me, I’ll reply your emails as soon as I can.

Travelled about 1200km over 6 days, from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road via Lorne and Apollo Bay, spent the night under koala bears in the wild in Cape Otway, went on the 12 Apostles and back via Colac. Caught the earliest ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento, but our dolphin swim was canceled due to bad weather. Skipped our planned scuba-diving trip and went on to Cape Schanck for stunning views, then on to Phillip Island to see the penguin parade, it was about 10 degrees C that night but felt much colder with the ferocious wind! From there we went on to the Dandenongs for its beautiful gardens and then to the Yarra Valley for a ballooning trip at sunrise, some wine tasting and then on to Healesville to see more animals and some delicious Devonshire tea :)  Back in Melbourne, we enjoyed the sunset at St Kilda, and were treated to a surprise encounter with some penguins up close at the pier.

Took loads of shots of these koalas who were everywhere on the trees

It was rainy during our Great Ocean Road trip, but we were rewarded with many rainbows
